Eleanor Bedore

Eleanor M. Bedore, age 86, of 60 Church Street, Saranac Lake, died Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at the Adirondack Medical Center.

Born in Saranac Lake, New York on November 08, 1928, she was the daughter of Raymond and Mary Josephine (Green) Slattery. Eleanor married George Bedore on April 10, 1948 in St. Bernard's Church. He predeceased her December 28, 2011.

Mrs. Bedore was a lifelong resident of Saranac Lake and had been employed as a Lab Technician at the Trudeau Institute in Saranac Lake for many years. She also worked in retail business in Saranac Lake.

She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law Deborah Groh and her husband Richard of Saranac Lake, one grandson Michael Timko and his wife Janine of Glens Falls, NY, one granddaughter Heidi Dybas and husband Matthew of Glens Falls, three great granddaughters Lilly and Olivia Dybas and Maria Timko all of Glens Falls, NY, one great grandson Collin Dybas Glens Falls, NY, and several nieces and nephews, including Edward Cassavaugh of Mayfield, KY and Glenn and David Bedore of Tupper Lake. She is also survived by one brother Daniel Slattery and his wife Sharon of Wayland, NY and three sisters Eileen Wheeler and husband Randy of Poestenkill, NY, Brenda Taylor and her husband Robert of Marble Head, MA, and Sheila Sellers and her husband Thomas of Canoga Park, CA, She was preceded in death by her infant son Gary John Bedore, one sister Elizabeth Cassavaugh, and her step mother Katherine Malakie Slattery.

Funeral arrangements are in care of the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Bernard’s Church in the spring. Burial will follow in St. Bernard’s Cemetery.
