Obituary Notice

Mary “Molly” Buckley, age 83, of 25 Franklin Ave, Saranac Lake, died Saturday, May 16, 2015.

Born in Massena, New York on January 19, 1932, she was the daughter of John and Irene (Roach) Buckley. Molly married Daniel L. Buckley on May 12, 1956 at St. Mary’s Church in Massena. He predeceased her on June 8, 1978.

Molly moved to Saranac Lake in 2006 to live with her daughter Nora coming from Queensbury, NY. Prior to that she raised her family in Ft. Edward, NY where she worked at the Deli in the Hannaford market for many years. She also lived in Brasher Falls and Queensbury, NY. Molly was a member of the St. Patrick’s Alter and Rosary Society in Brasher Falls and taught CCD at St. Joseph’s Church in Ft. Edward for many years. She was also a Girl Scout Leader and Boy Scout Den Mother for many years. She loved gardening, animals and playing cards. She’ll be remembered as an especially smart, kind woman with a wonderful sense of humor.

She is survived by 3 sons Mark Buckley of Willsboro, NY, Matthew Buckley and his wife Karen of Clifton Park, NY, and Daniel Buckley and his wife MacKenzie Cadenhead of Hastings on Hudson, NY, three daughters Maureen Buckley of South Glens Falls, NY, Teresa Glover and her husband Thomas of Saranac Lake, and Nora Buckley of Saranac Lake, 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one sister Margaret Beaulieu.

Calling hours will take place at the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home on Monday, May 18, 2015 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 12;00 PM on Tuesday May 19, 2015 at St. Bernard's Church., with Rev. Paul Kelly officiating.
