Annie Elizabeth Lamere, Age 102, passed away on Sunday April 14, 2024 at the Alice Center, Malone, NY with her daughter by her side.

Annie was born at on July 29, 1921 in Clearfield, PA the second child of seven children of Henry Zinn and Sara Jane (Dixon) Graham. She married her lifelong love John Lamere who predeceased her. 

Annie was known as “Sis” to family most of the time. She enjoyed sewing and crocheting and crafted many beautiful quilts, baby sweaters, blankets and Afghans. Annie also enjoyed attending many craft shows where she took her many creations.

Annie worked at many establishments around the Saranac Lake, NY area, including The Shoe Factory, The Dress Factory, Adirondack Medical Center and Howard Johnson’s Restaurant. She made her home at the DeChantal Apartments for many years.

Annie is survived by one daughter: Charlotte (Elwin) Hall, one grandson: Thomas (Katherine) Hall, one granddaughter:  Patricia Hall, one great granddaughter: McKayla Hall-Munn and one great grandson: Nicholas Greenia. She is also survived by one sister Edith (Richard) Lorah and her nieces and nephews.

Annie was preceded in death by her husband, her mother and father, her great grandson: “Little John”, five brothers: Theodore Ward, Graham, William Henry Graham, Samuel James Graham, Russell Raymond Graham and Delbert Dorse Graham. 

Annie’s family would like to thank the Doctors, Nurses and staff of the Alice Center for all the great care and love they provided to Annie while she was with them. 

Funeral Arrangements are in care of the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home, 20 Church Street, Saranac Lake, NY 12983. At Annie’s request there will be no public calling hours. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family in the family plot at St. John’s Cemetery in Lake Clear, NY.

Family and friends may choose to remember Annie Elizabeth Lamere with a memorial contribution to the First United Methodist Church of Saranac Lake or the Saranac Lake Volunteer Fire Department in care of the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home, 20 Church Street, Saranac Lake, NY 12983.
