Janice Bombard, age 90, of Saranac Lake, died Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at home.

Born in Saranac Lake, New York on January 25, 1933, she was the daughter of Alexander and Violet (Duprey) Aubin. Janice, married John Bombard on December 6, 1952 at the chapel at St. Bernard’s Church in Saranac Lake. John predeceased her on March 6, 1997.

Janice was a lifelong resident of Saranac Lake and had been employed as a Home Health Aid for North Country Home Services for several years. She was an active member of the Church of St. Luke the Beloved Physician in Saranac Lake, NY where she was a member of the Women’s Guild. She was also an avid knitter.

She is survived by her son Marc Bombard of Saranac Lake, her daughters: Beth Martell of Bozeman, MT, Brenda McNamara of Tupper Lake, NY, and Lisa Bombard of Mexico, her sister Hallie Ohman of Saranac Lake, her brother Alex Aubin of Saranac Lake, 7 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Janice was predeceased in death by two sisters Ann Grant and Mary Ohmann, and her brother Noris Aubin.

Funeral arrangements are in care of the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake. Calling hours and a funeral service are tentively set for early May to be announced. Burial will follow at Pine Ridge Cemetery in Saranac Lake.
