Cynthia Tarbell Pacharz passed away peacefully on July 25, 2025 surrounded by her loving family in her home in Saranac Lake, NY.

Born in Bennington, VT in 1953 to Roberta Brewster and Edward Tarbell, she was a graduate of Burr and Burton Academy, Manchester, VT and University of Vermont, Burlington, VT.

She was a longtime resident of Saranac Lake, NY serving her community as a dental hygienist at Tri-Lakes Center For Dentistry for over 40 years. Cynthia enjoyed spending her winters skiing at Whiteface and summers paddling the rivers and lakes of the Adirondacks with her many adventure friends.

Cynthia was a thoughtful and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her passion for the outdoors and love of the Adirondacks were inspiring and she will be forever missed.

Cynthia is survived by her son Abraham Pacharz, her son Austin Pacharz, his wife Stephanie Pacharz, their daughter Ellis Pacharz, her siblings Anne, Catherine, Judy, and Matthew and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Please join us in celebrating her life on Saturday, August 9, 2025 at 12 pm at Dewey Mountain Recreation Center, 238 George H Lapan Memorial Hwy, Saranac Lake, NY 12983.

Funeral arrangements are in care of the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake.
