William Deissler

December 7, 1943 — October 22, 2009

On October 22, 2009, William “Bill” Hesse Deissler of Saranac Lake passed away peacefully in the care of the staff at AMC-Uihlein Mercy Center and High Peaks Hospice.

Bill was born in Malone, NY on December 7, 1943, but was a lifelong resident of Saranac Lake. He was the son of Anna Hesse Deissler and Frank Deissler and preceeded in death by his brothers John and Edward Deissler and half-brother Bernard Deissler.

Bill is survived and missed by his daughter Krista Blasetti and her husband Jason Blasetti, of Avondale, AZ and their two daughters, Maggie and Anna. He will be greatly missed by his cousins Sue Hesse, Gail Robinson, Linda Brinneman and Gretchen Hesse Yanes and his close friends and neighbors of Saranac Lake.

Bill was a Veteran of the United States Army, where he served from 1965-67 as a Military Police Officer. He also spent many years employed by St. Joseph’s Rehabilitation Center.

Bill was a very kind and caring man who loved his peaceful life in the Adirondacks. He will be missed on Earth, but a blessing in Heaven.

Funeral arrangements are in care of the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake. There will be no calling hours. Interment services will take place at the convenience of the family.
