Dennis Walter Tillberg

Dennis Walter Tillberg, age 73, of Saranac Lake, died Friday, July 3, 2026 at Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake.

Born in Bay Ridge Brooklyn, New York on May 4th, 1953, he was the son of Arnold and Lydia (Tollkuhn) Tillberg.

At an early age, his family moved to Northport Long Island and he graduated high school there in the class of 1971. Dennis attended Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) and majored in Art. His career led him to working in New York City as a Set Designer for television and movie productions including the film Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2014) and the TV Series Orange Is The New Black (2013-2019).

Upon retirement, he moved to Fish's Eddy upstate New York before moving to Saranac Lake in 2025 to be closer to his childhood dear friend, Klaus Meissner

He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Saranac Lake and the Winter Carnivals IPW 101.

Dennis is survived by his nephews, Michael, Jason and Thomas Tillberg and his cousin Bob Cooper and his wife Jean.

Funeral Arrangements are in care of the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake. A memorial service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 12th at the First Presbyterian Church of Saranac Lake located at 57 Church Street in Saranac Lake with the Rev. Joanne White Officiating.
