Edna Louise Fletcher, aged 90, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2026 at Elderwood Nursing Home in Lake Placid.
Born in Watertown, NY in 1935, Edna was previously married to Michael W. Fletcher. She was a devoted mother to five children: Scott (and his wife Darlene), Andrew (and his wife Tess), Amy, Amber, and Paul. She also leaves behind one brother Charlie (and his wife Jeanne) several nieces, nephews, and grandchildren whom she cherished deeply.
Edna was preceded in death by her parents, J. Kenneth Currier and Mildred P. (Hamm) Currier, as well as her brothers, Jerry and Albert.
Edna graduated from Immaculate Heart Academy in Watertown. Throughout her life, Edna worked at the Watertown Daily Times and the NY Telephone Company as an operator where she met her husband Michael. She was also the proud owner of The Hobby Shop in Saranac Lake where she crafted macramé hangers, ornaments, candles, paintings and other artwork sharing her creative spirit with the community. Edna enjoyed playing cards, dice, and other games with her family, bringing joy and warmth with her beautiful smile to every gathering.
Edna will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
