Paula Fowler

Paula Frances Fowler, age 69, of Vermontville, died unexpectedly at her home, Wednesday, September 6, 2023.

Born in Saranac Lake, NY on November 17, 1953, she was the daughter of Francis and Helen (Callaghan) Martin.

Paula graduated from Pius X CHS and attended nursing school at St. Lawrence School of Nursing.

Paula worked as a nurse in Syracuse, NY, Colby, KS and Richmond, VA before returning to her hometown to work at Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake until her retirement.

She is survived by one sister Adlayd Collins of Lake Placid and two brothers Dean and his wife Pam of Saranac Lake and Joseph Martin of Sault Saint Marie, MI. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews including Max Martin, Nicole Lee, Terri Bullock and Rebecca Tejera. She was preceded in death by her father and mother.

Paula loved spending holidays with family. She was a wonderful baker and made many special cakes for family and friends. One of her special interests was collecting anything antiquey.

Funeral arrangements are in care of Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake, NY. Funeral services will take place at the convenience of the family at a later date.
