John Joseph McBride

John McBride passed away on April 20th, 2026 at the age of 90. Born on Feb. 10th, 1936 in Brooklyn, N.Y., he was the son of John J. and Katherine N. McBride.

John graduated from James Madison H.S., Bklyn, N.Y. in 1954, and proudly served in the United States Navy as an Aviation Electrician Petty Officer 3rd Class. He worked for AT&T until he retired and moved to Augur Lake, Keeseville, NY, where he pursued his love of fishing and woodworking.

John is predeceased by his parents, his granddaughter Caitlyn Elizabeth; and daughter-in-law Donna B. McBride.

John is survived by his wife Marion E. McBride; his children, John J. McBride and his wife Deborah, William B. McBride and his fiancé Anna, Catherine A. Romano and her husband Jeffrey, and Michael McBride. He is also survived by his many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Calling hours will be held at Fortune-Keough funeral home , Saranac Lake N.Y. Friday, May 8th 4-6 pm. Mass will be held at St. Bernards Church Saturday May 9th at 10am. Burial will follow at St. Bernard’s Cemetery in Saranac Lake. A reception will immediately follow at Romano’s Saranac Lanes.
