Bruce G. Kratts, age 74, of 67 Petrova Ave, Saranac Lake, died Monday, September 12, 2016.

Born in the Town of Clarksville, New York on October 12, 1941, he was the son of George and Lillian (Hamilton) Kratts. Bruce, married Judith S. Stoeckel on December 15, 1962 in North Tonawanda, NY.

Bruce is a Vietnam War Era Veteran serving from 1961 until 1964 in the Army Security Agency. Bruce was a 1979 graduate of SUNY Plattsburgh and was a member of the New York State Police from June of 1966 until his retirement in June of 1988 when he retired as zone Sergeant of Troop B, Ray Brook. He enjoyed carpentry and reading.

He is survived by his wife Judith of Saranac Lake, two daughters Aimee (Basil) White of Sterling, VA, Heidi (Kevin) Feldt of North Creek, two sons Jon Kratts of Gabriels and Timothy (Tracey) Kratts of Bloomingdale, and five grandchildren Matthew, Jon, Morgan and McKenzie Kratts, Winter Feldt. He was preceded in death by his father, mother, one brother and one sister.

Calling hours will take place at the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home on Thursday, September 15, 2016 from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM. A funeral service will immediately follow at 7:00 PM at the funeral home on Thursday with the Rev. Joanne White officiating. Burial will take place in Harrietstown Cemetery.
