Lottie Maire Moody

September 27, 1939 — March 18, 2026

Saranac Lake

Lottie Marie Moody, age 86, of Saranac Lake, passed away surrounded by family on March 18, 2026 at CVPH.

Born September 27, 1939, in Saranac Lake, New York, she was a hardworking woman with a heart of gold. For many years she worked in cleaning — meticulous, dependable, and proud of her work — holding positions at many motels and ultimately retiring from Holiday Inn Express & Suites Lake Placid by IHG, where she served as a devoted housekeeper for many years. After retirement she lovingly cared for several beloved families. If you couldn’t find her, look by the slot machines; she loved the excitement and company of casinos — though she was happy playing bingo for years until her son introduced her to slots. Family was everything to her, and she always put everyone first. Her love and compassion were inspirational, and she was often the life of the party, “cutting a rug” wherever she went — from Las Vegas to weddings to small gatherings.

She is survived by her children Dorothy Norton (Larry) of Peru, NY, and Allen Moody (Debbie) of Saranac Lake, NY; daughter‑in‑law Tina Moody of Bloomingdale, NY; and her brother Kenny Macy (Brenda) of Callahan, FL. Grandchildren include Ryan Moody (Jackie) of Albany, NY; Cameron Moody (Ericka) of Bloomingdale, NY; Ashley Norton and Larry Norton Jr., both of Peru, NY; Megan Hoellerer (Tyler) of Kalispell, MT; and Melissa Moody of Cincinnatus, NY. Great‑grandchildren are Heath, JJ, and Andrea Moody of Bloomingdale, NY; Sawyer Norton of Plattsburgh, NY; and Kinslee, Haelynn, and baby boy Hoellerer on the way of Kalispell, MT.

She is also remembered by nephews Phil, John, Kenny, Donny, Todd, and Glynn; nieces Melanie and Missy; many beloved stepchildren; and numerous great‑nieces and great‑nephews. Her ex‑husband, Wes “Slugger” Moody, also survives her.

Predeceased by: Parents Phil and Lottie Macy, brothers Robert and Joseph, and her son Richard Moody.
