Robert A. McLear, age 61, of Pine Street, Tupper Lake, died Thursday, July 07, 2016 his home following a long illness.

Born in Saranac Lake, New York on January 02, 1955, he was the son of Ralph and Beulah (Demars) McLear. Robert married Mary Cole August 19, 2000 in Buffalo, New York.

Robert had been employed as a truck driver from many years for various companies and most recently worked as a bus driver for Franklin County Public Transportation for several years until he had to retire due to serious health issues. Robert was an avid Nascar fan and was a member of the Tupper Lake Rescue Squad.

He is survived by his wife Mary McLear of Tupper Lake, three children Stacie (Daryl) Feeterman of Tonawanda, Robert (Chrystal) McLear of Tonawanda and Geoffrey (Jennifer) McLear of Amherst, three step children Carl (Melissa) Blenski of Cuba, NY, Kimberly Blenski of Buffalo and April Blenski of Mt. Morris, NY, one brother Eddie McLear of TN, 7 7 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren several nieces and nephews, his mother-in-law Mary Lou Ransom of Florida, and several brother-in-laws. He was preceded in death by his father and his mother and one nephew Alex Mclear.

Calling hours will take place at the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 12, 2016 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. A funeral service will immediately follow at 2:00 P.M. at the Fortune - Keough Funeral Home.
