Ronald Joseph Millious, died peacefully at AMC-Uihlein Mercy Care Center in Lake Placid on April 21, 2009.

Born September 26, 1947 in Watertown, New York and lived in Bloomingdale for thirty-four years.

Ron was an alter-boy with the Methodist Church and graduated from Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk High School in 1965 and Secretary of his class for four years. He served in the United States Navy from January 1967 to February 1972 as a Communications Technician in Mechanics receiving medals for the National Defense Service and Good Conduct. He worked for Verizon until his retirement in 1999 and was a Verizon Pioneer Life Member

He was previously a member of the Township 19 Hunting and Recreation Club and the East Pond Club for many years. He loved the Nascar races, outdoors, fishing and hunting, and always had a helping hand and a listening ear for relatives and friends.

He is predeceased by his father Floyd A. Millious, mother Katherine J. (Broderick) Millious, and sister Alice (Millious) Austin.

He is survived by two daughters, Darcey and husband Victor Burman of Saranac Lake and Kimberly and husband Rod Gates of Bellingham, Washington, two brothers, Floyd (and wife Barbara Millious) of Ravena, Donald Millious (and friend Patricia LaGuire) of Rensselaerville, one sister Dorothy and her late husband Roger Andrus of Black River, brother-in-law Robert Austin; three granddaughters, several nieces and nephews, and former wife Linda (Oravsky) Millious.

Calling hours will be held from 12:00 PM to 2:30 PM on Saturday April 25, 2009 at the Fortune Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake. A funeral service will immediately follow at 2:30 PM at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Harrietstown Cemetery in Saranac Lake.

Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to the Adirondack Medical Center or AMC-Uihlein Mercy Center in care of the funeral home. Family and friends may also share their memories and sign the online guestbook at fortunekeoughfuneralhome.com.
