Ralph Milne

Ralph Milne, 83, formerly of Tupper Lake, passed away, Tuesday, November 3, in Phoenix, NY where he had resided for the past few years. Born on March 19, 1926 in Plattsburgh, he was the son of Ralph and Mary (Dutton) Milne. Ralph was a veteran of the Marine Corps serving from 1943 to 1946. On November 11, 1950 he married the former Ruth Desmarais. She pre-deceased him February 3, 2005. Mr. Milne had worked for several years for Upstate auto in car sales and management. Ralph loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was an avid hunter up until recently. He is survived by three daughters; Deborah Fadden and her husband James of Baldwinsville, Janet Dominie and her husband Bruce of Tupper Lake and Shelbie Kavanagh of Wilmington. He is also survived by a special companion Margie Haynes, eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, two sisters, Millie Glazier of Arizona and Madeline Parker of Plattsburgh and several wonderful loving nieces and nephews. He will also be missed by his dog and walking buddy, Maggie. He was pre-deceased by his wife, a sister Marion Salimando and a brother James Milne. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, November 8 from 4 to 7 pm at the Stuart-Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Tupper Lake. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday at 11:00 a.m. at St Alphonsus church. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery with full military honors. Those wishing to make memorial contributions are asked to consider; Hospice of Oswego or the VA of Syracuse in care of the funeral home.
