Carl Myatt

Carl F. Myatt, age 83, of 44 Oregon Pond Drive, Onchiota, died Sunday, October 19, 2008 at his home.

Born in Saranac Lake, New York on June 15, 1925, he was the son of Frederick and Serena (Ibey) Myatt.

A life-long resident of Saranac Lake, Carl was a 1943 graduate of Saranac Lake High School. He was a veteran of WWII having served in the US Coast Guard attaining the rank of Seaman First Class. Carl was employed by Saranac Lake Federal Savings and Loan for 32 years retiring as appraiser in 1988. He was a resident of Onchiota, NY and Bradenton, FL. Carl coached his son's little league baseball team. After the games he liked to take the team out to Donnelly’s for ice cream in his prised Model A Ford. He also was an avid tennis player and enjoyed golf. Skiing was a big part of his life. He was a member of the Saranac Lake Ski Club and participated in the Candy Bar Races, the Top of the Mountain, the White Stag Races and the Junior Council.

He is survived by his wife: the former Barbara Mauger, a son: Jeffrey Myatt of Saranac Lake and a daughter: Sandra Myatt of Fairbanks, AK. He was preceded in death by his father Frederick Myatt, and his mother Serena Ibey, and his first wife Mary Popovics Myatt and a son Steven.

Private services will be held at a later date.
