Catherine Nason, age 94, of Saranac Lake, died Friday, March 18, 2022 at her home following a long illness.
Born in Plattsburgh, New York on October 13, 1927, she was the daughter of Edward and Elizabeth (Boyle) O’Brien. Catherine married Ephraim Nason on October 14, 1957, at St. John’s Church in Plattsburgh, NY.
Catherine attended secretarial school at The Loretta Business Institute. She had been employed as a Secretary at Lands End on Upper Saranac Lake for many years and later worked as a medical Secretary for Trudeau Institute until her retirement. Catherine was a member of St. Bernard's Church in Saranac Lake and was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America Court 787 St. Bernard.
She is survived by her husband Ephraim and one daughter Elizabeth Nason of East Schodack, NY, two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two daughters Mary Doucet and Christina Nason, two brothers Bill and Frank O'Brien and one sister Elizabeth Bordeau
Funeral arrangements are in care of the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake. A graveside service will take place at the convenience of the family at St. Mary Cemetery in Potsdam.
