Rodney E. Garrett

Rod Garrett, 68 of Saranac Lake passed away on September 2, 2026 at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston after battling a long illness.

Rod was born on October 31, 1958 in Wernersville, PA the son of Rodney and Jean (Auman) Garrett

He lived a life he loved in the Adirondacks after leaving the busy financial world of Washington DC to set up his own remote consulting business ACR international long before it was a popular thing to do. Most recently he partnered with Matthew Willard at GW Legacy Advisors doing Valuations for corporations, common stock, stock options and intellectual property. He also had a separate business ACR land works with his sons Jacobs and Cameron doing excavation and grading.

He thrived on lifelong education. Rod started his higher education with prep school at Perkiomen. Graduated from Temple University in 1984 with a BBA in Finance. He received his MBA in 1989 from George Washington University and in 2021 graduated from ESF with a Masters in Natural Resource Management.

Rod enjoyed playing the guitar, music, working in his orchard and most of all spending time with family and friends. Rod is survived by his wife Denise Garrett, son Cameron Garrett, sons Austin, Jacob and daughter Hannah from a previous marriage to Lisa Myers of Vermont, step daughters Kristina Payne of Las Vegas and Amber Roman of Plattsburgh, NY. Mother Jean Garrett, sister Kathy Ball, Heidi Landis Garrett and brother Kurt Garrett of Pennsylvania, grandchildren Danika and Julian Garrett of New Jersey, Isabella Roman of Saranac Lake and Milana Labee of Las Vegas. Also survived by nephew Garrett Ball and niece Laura Ball from PA. He was pre-deceased by his father Rodney Evans Garrett.
