It is with deep sorrow and warm memories that we share the passing of Sandra May Brown, a cherished soul whose radiant smile and loving nature touched the hearts of all who knew her. Sandra passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by family and friends, on a serene April day. Her gracious spirit graced this world from June 18, 1947, when she was born in Mineville, New York, until the day she departed April15, 2026.
Sandra was the beloved daughter of the late Annabell and Dan Paradis, who instilled in her the values of kindness, warmth, and a zest for life. Sandra’s parents predeceased her, but she kept their memory alive through her vibrant personality and love for family.
Sandra is survived by a family who adored her deeply: her brother James and his wife Eve Brown, her sister Gail and her husband Bob Corbin, and her cherished nephews Daniel and Jason Brown. She was also a beloved aunt to Michele and her husband Tod Paulson, as well as Nephews Steve Chebetar and Mike Reed. Each of these family members held a special place in her heart, and she in theirs.
Her journey through life was graced with a fulfilling career at North Starr, where she was more than just a colleague—she was a friend and a source of joy for everyone around her. Sandra brought life to the annual talent shows with her enthusiasm and was an integral part of the Hothouse, where her love for flowers blossomed beside her caring demeanor.
Sandra’s life was a tapestry of cherished moments and beloved activities. She was a social butterfly who found joy in shopping and dining out as often as she could, always with a twinkle in her eye for the next adventure in Plattsburgh. Her adept hands created intricate needlepoint, and her heart held a special place for Mickey Mouse, a symbol of her enduring childlike wonder.
Her vacations with Bob and Gail were a testament to her love for family and exploration, always seeking new experiences and creating lasting memories. Sandra had a knack for people-watching, a pastime that matched her curiosity and empathy perfectly, always with a smile that could light up the darkest of days.
In the kitchen, she was a force of nature, ensuring each dish was crafted with care and, importantly, with just the right amount of pepper. Her laughter and joy in cooking were ingredients she generously shared with all who gathered around her table.
If you were fortunate enough to meet Sandra, you would fall in love with her smile and her perpetually happy mood. Her presence was a gift, a reminder of the simple pleasures in life and the importance of love and laughter.
Sandra May Brown’s life was a celebration of love, kindness, and joy. As we bid farewell, we hold her memory close, knowing that her spirit will continue to inspire and guide us. She will be dearly missed but fondly remembered by all whose lives she touched.
