Gloria Savarie

Gloria Parrotte Savarie, age 85, of Lake Street, Saranac Lake, died Friday, July 03, 2015 at Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake.

Born in Saranac Lake, New York on June 11, 1930, she was the daughter of Theodore and Daisy May (Abare) Parrotte. Gloria married Stanley Savarie on April 18, 1975 in Tupper Lake, New York. He predeceased her on September 3, 1999.

Gloria was a lifelong resident of Saranac Lake and had attended and graduated from Saranac Lake Central High School in 1948 and North Country Community College in 1982.

She is survived by four daughters Yvonne Barringer of Burnt Hills, Lynn Newman, Joanne Bevilacqua, and Jacqueline Ely of Saranac Lake, and one son Steven Ely of Weberville, Michigan. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Eric Newman and his wife Sheela Subramanian, Mary Alice Newman, Kathleen Ely, Scott Richards and Jenna Griffin and one great granddaughters, Madison Perkins.

Funeral arrangements are in care of the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake. There will be no calling hours. Funeral services will take place at the convenience of the family. Burial will take place in Pine Ridge Cemetery.
