June L. Siewertsen, age 78, of 45 Main Street, Overlook Apartments, Bloomingdale, died Friday, February 13, 2009 at Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake.
Born in Northvale, NJ on February 10, 1931, she was the daughter of Henry and Emily (Shue) Delo.
June had been a resident of the area since 1969 coming from New City, NY and had been employed as a Home Health Aid for many years. June loved her work as a home health care provider and the people she was caring for. She also loved computer games, knitting, gardening, and spending time with her children, grandchildren and friends. June also enjoyed an occasional trip to the casino.
She is survived by five children Guy Schweizer and his wife Sally of Lake Clear, NY, Harry Schweizer of Saranac Lake, NY, Carey Sayles and her husband Richard of Lake Clear, NY, Dale Schweizer and his partner Vincent Tuccillo of Yorktown Heights, NY, and Jan O'Hara of Saranac Lake, NY, one twin sister Joan McKee of Wilmington, OH, 7 Grandchildren, 1 Great Grandchild, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, mother, one brother Albert "Moose" Delo, and two sisters Alice "Jewel" Sierwertsen, and Helen "Snooks" Felici.
Calling hours will take place at the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home on Monday, February 16, 2009 from 2PM -4PM. A memorial service will immediately follow at 4:00 PM on Monday at the funeral home, with Rev. Thomas Kornmeyer officiating. Burial will take place at St. John's Cemetery in Lake Clear at a later date.
