Victoria "Viki" L. Gannon

September 26, 1952 — December 20, 2025

Saranac Lake

Victoria (Viki) L. Gannon, 73, passed away suddenly Saturday December 20, 2025 at CVPH hospital. Born in West Carthage, NY on September 26 1952. Viki was the daughter of Ann Peper. She grew up outside of Watertown and graduated from Clifton-Fine in Star Lake. She moved to Saranac Lake in 1971. Viki met the love of her life, Thomas E Gannon, and they were married on June 10th, 1978. They welcomed their son February 7th, 1981.

Viki was known by many for her hard work ethic and big heart. She spent many years working in the service industry as a waitress and bartender at multiple different establishments over the course of her time in Saranac Lake such as Dew Drops, Red Fox, Mckenzies Grill and the Belvedere Restaurant. She was currently working at Blue Moon at the time of her death baking the delicious homemade breads and breakfast pastries. Viki was a staple in our community, every place she worked was brighter for her presence. She was charismatic and could carry on a conversation with anyone. Viki also was the hostess with the most. Many can tell stories of the holiday celebrations Viki threw, with her infectious laugh and attentive personality, she always made anyone who stepped into her home feel as though they were part of the family.

Viki had a heart of gold. She was devoted to those she loved, her son Thomas L. Gannon was her heart and soul. Once Tommy started a family of his own, Viki was ever present in every moment in her grandchildren's lives. On sunny warm days, you would see her walking through town with her granddaughter Aria, or she would be sitting on the floor playing with her grandson Dawson, always creating a fun environment for them to grow up in. She brought magic and fun to her grandchildren's lives with the many traditions that she has since passed on to them. The joy and wonder she brought to each holiday from decorating to baking treats, and making fun festive food with them, was always something to look forward to.

Viki is survived by her husband Thomas E. Gannon, her son Thomas L. (Kayla) Gannon, her sisters Katie, Ann, and Jane. Her grandchildren Aria and Dawson, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her mother Ann, and her sisters, Mary and Whitney.

Funeral arrangements are in care of the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake. A celebration of life will take place at a later date to be announced.

Family and friends wishing to remember Viki are asked to consider making memorial contributions to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in care of the funeral home. Family and friends can also share their condolences and memories at fortunekeoughfuneralhome.com.
