OBITUARY

TUPPER LAKE- Richard Wallace, 58, of Piercefield, died unexpectedly, Friday January 23, 2009 in an automobile accident on the Tupper-Saranac Highway. Born on August, 3, 1950 in Queens, NY. He was the son of Leonard and Margaret (Bogert) Wallace. Richard was raised in NYC and relocated to Piercefield in 1985. For six years, he served with the New York National Guard. He was employed as a Safety Officer at Sunmount DDSO until retiring in 2002. Richard was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 640, a member of the Tupper Lake Rescue Squad and the Piercefield Volunteer Fire Dept. He was an avid gun collector and fishermen. Richard is survived by one brother Leonard Wallace of Tupper Lake and a niece Lynette Smith of Long Island. Calling hours will take place on Wednesday, January 28th from 2- 4 and 7 -9 pm at the Stuart-Fortune-Keough funeral home in Tupper Lake. Burial will be in Gale cemetery in May.
